Scarsdale, NY (10/18/18) – The Scarsdale Forum invites you to two engaging events scheduled in the coming weeks.
On Sunday, October 28, as part of our Sunday Speaker Series, we will present “Albert Bierstadt’s New York Studios, Stereography, and Paintings of the Northeast.” Renowned art historian Dr. Annette Blaugrund will discuss this Hudson River school artist's works spanning almost three decades, from 1858 to 1886. The event, which is co-hosted by the Scarsdale Public Library, will be held at the Scarsdale Woman's Club, 37 Drake Road, Scarsdale, NY, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. On Thursday, November 15 , join us for the annual presentation on the "State of Our Schools," with Scarsdale School District Superintendent Dr. Thomas Hagerman and Scarsdale Board of Education President Scott Silberfein. The event will take place at the Scarsdale Congregational Church, 1 Heathcote Road, Scarsdale, NY, beginning with a reception at 7:30 pm, followed by the program at 8:00 pm. Scarsdale Forum
The Scarsdale Forum is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to community education through discussion and analysis of issues relevant to Scarsdale residents. Since 1904, it has contributed meaningfully to Scarsdale Village affairs through its written reports, public speaker events, and committee discussions. Membership is available to all Scarsdale and Mamaroneck Strip residents, regardless of citizenship status.
